The Guardian carries Azerbaijani envoy’s response to libel campaign
The Guardian carried a letter by Azerbaijani Ambassador to Britain Elin Suleymanov to a recent libel campaign and unfounded accusations against Azerbaijan.
Report learnt from the Azerbaijani Embassy to the UK.
The response letter underscores that the territories, liberated from occupation, are internationally and unconditionally recognized territories of Azerbaijan, and this was also confirmed by 4 UN Security Council resolutions.
The ambassador underscores that Armenia's occupation of Azerbaijani lands, which was the main obstacle to peace in the South Caucasus, has already been eliminated, and the leaders of both countries said that peace could be achieved in the coming months.
It was noted that Azerbaijan's income from cooperation with international energy partners is directed to healthcare, infrastructure, education and other areas, as a result of which Azerbaijan has become the most developed country in the South Caucasus region. He noted that a peace agreement with Armenia will bring stability and economic development to the region as a whole.
