UK’s Foreign Secretary right regarding Azerbaijan's liberation of lands Ambassador says

Azerbaijan's ambassador to the UK Elin Suleymanov has said that UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy is absolutely right in his statement regarding Azerbaijan's liberation of its territories.

Suleymanov made these remarks in an interview with UK’s GB News channel, Caliber.Az reports.

“This position is shared by the entire international community," the ambassador noted.

He also addressed the criticism of Lammy's stance by former Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the House of Commons and Shadow Foreign Minister for Europe Alicia Kearns.

Suleymanov pointed out that Kearns is under pressure from the Armenian lobby. 

"Alicia Kearns claims to support the territorial integrity of Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine. What makes Azerbaijan's territorial integrity different? Why does Azerbaijan's restoration of its territorial integrity within internationally recognised borders, acknowledged by the United Kingdom, spark controversy?" the ambassador stressed.

Earlier, UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy stated that Azerbaijan has successfully liberated the territories it lost in the early 1990s.
