Former Turkish ambassador marks global recognition of Karabakh As integral part of Azerbaijan

Hulusi Kilic, former Turkish ambassador to Azerbaijan, representative of Türkiye in the “Imza” Public Association, emphasized the international acknowledgment of Karabakh as an integral part of Azerbaijan following last year's successful anti-terrorist operation by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces. 

Kılıc noted that the operation, which lasted just 23 hours and 43 minutes, effectively dismantled Armenian separatism and underscored the resolve of the Azerbaijani people to reclaim their homeland, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

Kılıc praised President Ilham Aliyev's decisive leadership, which he described as an "iron fist" that shattered the perception of Armenian military invincibility and led to the self-dissolution of the illegal regime in the region. He highlighted the unity of the Azerbaijani populace around their leader during this critical period, as well as the bravery and professionalism displayed by the military.

In his remarks, Kılıc called the decision to designate September 20 as the Day of State Sovereignty a historic moment for Azerbaijan, further solidifying the country’s territorial integrity. He reiterated the unwavering support from Türkiye, citing the strong friendship between Presidents Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan as a foundation for the bilateral relationship.

Kılıc also criticized the international community's biased reactions during the anti-terrorist operation, particularly the involvement of nations like France, which he argued showcased duplicity in their stance toward the conflict. He expressed confidence that the unity of Turkic-speaking nations is becoming increasingly irreversible.

The diplomat congratulated the Azerbaijani people on their significant achievements under President Aliyev's leadership, marking a pivotal moment in the region's history.
