Turkish leader heads to Astana for Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has departed for Astana to attend the 24th Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit, Caliber.Az reports via Turkish media.

His agenda includes a pivotal meeting with President Putin on the summit's opening day, focusing on trade, tourism, and energy discussions.

Erdogan will address numerous bilateral, regional, and global issues, highlighting the fight against terrorism in Syria.

Additionally, he will engage in discussions about the situation in the Gaza Strip, both in bilateral meetings and at the summit, where Türkiye participates as a "dialogue partner".
