Iran says fully prepared for any possible action from Israel

06 October 2024 15:49

An informed military source in Iran has declared that the country is fully prepared to respond to any potential actions by Israel.

The source emphasized that Iran's counterstrike capabilities are ready for immediate implementation should Israel take any aggressive steps, Caliber.Az reports, citing Iranian media.

According to the source, Iran's strategic plan includes various reciprocal strikes tailored to the nature of Israeli actions. Decisions regarding which specific retaliatory measures to enact will be made swiftly, depending on the circumstances. "Iran has a list of targets in Israel, and True Promise II also proved that we can raze any point we want," the source stated.

On October 1, Iran launched hundreds of missiles targeting the Israeli military, espionage, and intelligence facilities across the occupied territories as part of Operation True Promise II. This operation was described as a response to the assassination of key figures, including Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas's political bureau, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary General of Hezbollah, and Brigadier General Abbas Nilforushan, Deputy Commander for Operations of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC).

Israel and its top ally, the United States, said their respective militaries worked together to shoot down most of the nearly 200 projectiles that were fired by Iran.

The Israeli army said only a “few” hits were recorded in central and southern parts of the country while two people were injured from falling shrapnel in the Tel Aviv area, according to Israel’s emergency service.
