Russia strengthens cultural presence with new centres in Armenia

Two new partner Russian Houses are set to open in Armenia’s regions of Artashat and Ashtarak as Rossotrudnichestvo expands its network of partner centres across the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

The expansion marks the first time Rossotrudnichestvo has extended its partner Russian Houses program across the CIS. Rossotrudnichestvo head Konstantin Chaika signed agreements on the establishment of 11 new partner centres.

The network previously comprised 25 partner Russian Houses operating in 22 countries.

Asked about the current state of relations between Russia and Armenia, Chaika said: “Normal relations, like in a big family - it happens in different ways.”
