Georgia deports 61 foreign nationals in recent crackdown VIDEO

Georgian authorities have deported 61 foreign nationals from the country in recent days as part of measures carried out by the Migration Department of the Interior Ministry and other relevant departments.

The Interior Ministry said the deportees were citizens of India, Egypt, Türkiye, Cuba, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Russia, Nigeria, Armenia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Burundi, Ethiopia and Pakistanç Caliber.Az reports. 

Under Georgian law, individuals subject to deportation orders are barred from re-entering the country.

The ministry said that since the beginning of the year, the Migration Department has deported around 3,000 people, a figure that already significantly exceeds the total number of deportations recorded throughout the previous year.
