Turkish police detain nine suspects over alleged ISIS financing

Turkish police have detained nine suspects as part of an operation targeting the terrorist organisation ISIS in Istanbul, Police Department’s Counter-Terrorism Branch has said.

It stated that officials launched an investigation to identify the organization’s sources of financing, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.

During the investigation, authorities reviewed data provided by Türkiye’s Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) and identified individuals linked to conflict zones who had conducted money transfers with people involved in cases related to ISIS and other terrorist organisations.
