Iran rises to top of Russian grain buyer rankings

Iran has emerged as the largest buyer of Russian grain since the start of the 2026–27 agricultural year, ProZerno company confirmed.

Russia shipped 913,700 tons of grain to Iran between July 1 and September 8, 2026, making the country the top destination for Russian grain exports during the period.

Egypt ranked second, with 846,800 tons of Russian grain delivered over the same period.

Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia and Sudan were among the other major buyers of Russian grain, alongside several other countries.

The figures cover the opening period of Russia’s current agricultural year, which began on July 1, 2026.
