Ukraine in talks with France for local arms production, says President Zelenskyy
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced negotiations with France regarding the potential establishment of arms production facilities in Ukraine.
In a video address shared on his Telegram channel, Zelenskyy highlighted that Ukraine has already successfully implemented a similar collaboration with Denmark, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
"We view this new French model as an opportunity to attract investments in the creation of new production facilities," Zelensky stated.
He emphasized that discussions are ongoing at the ministerial level.
On October 10, details emerged from a meeting between Zelenskyy and French President Emmanuel Macron, during which the leaders discussed the battlefield situation and measures to strengthen Ukraine's positions while also enhancing European security.
Earlier, on October 2, Zelenskyy revealed that Ukraine's ammunition production had increased 25-fold. He also mentioned that the country is capable of producing up to 4 million drones annually, which he described as just "part of the new Ukrainian defence complex."
