USAID exposed: Corruption in both US and foreign media American experts on Caliber.Az
Donald Trump and Elon Musk are exposing the inner workings of Western media. It turns out that many of them were funded by the notorious USAID agency. This, of course, raises questions. Where is the much-declared freedom of speech in the West? Where is the independence of the media? Has all of this turned out to be a facade?
Facts of corruption within the USAID system are being uncovered, and it turns out that even well-known Western media outlets were funded by this structure. As a result, it seems that the forces behind USAID could, for specific sums, promote a certain political agenda in these popular publications.
These pressing concerns, among others, were discussed by American experts in an interview with Caliber.Az.
Political analyst John Varoli points out that the revelations we are witnessing now are something ordinary Americans have long suspected.
"We've known for a long time that nearly 95% of major American media outlets are liberal, which in itself raises the question—how did they manage to create such a consensus? No matter what important topic is discussed, 95% of our major media outlets are essentially reporting the same thing. Their tone, the opinions they present, and the logical structures of their materials are very similar to each other. Many have raised questions—how can this happen with publications that supposedly aren't connected, owned by different entities, and, logically, should be competing with each other? We've been observing this for at least 10 years. This trend has been especially noticeable when the most pressing issues have come to the forefront—such as the war in Ukraine, U.S. healthcare reform, and Trump," the expert said.
It’s clear, he says, that all these 95% of major media outlets were practically united in their campaign against Trump.
"The only thing we didn’t know was how this scheme works. It was generally clear that some kind of lever of power was involved, a lever of influence on major media outlets. It was clear because the Democratic Party is like a peculiar machine. The thing is, the Democratic Party has its people in every major media outlet. Well, of course, in key positions. And through them, influence can be exerted. I think everything is decided with a phone call, or ‘old friendships’. Simply put, they are ideological allies. In America, for example, it’s clear to everyone—if you work for The New York Times, you’re a Democrat and a liberal. And this is practically true for most of our media outlets—if you’re a journalist, you’re a liberal. They just need to give instructions, and they’ll all speak with one voice.
But what we didn’t know until now is that there’s also corruption in these circles! That these media outlets were being paid such huge sums. This shocked everyone. Such large government funds, taxpayer money, it turns out.
So, the liberal regime took taxpayer money and sent it to liberal media outlets to continue brainwashing the people. And when you think about it, you realise what nonsense this is. It’s just awful. I’ve long said that there’s no freedom of speech in the U.S. And now I confirm it—yes, there is absolutely no freedom of speech in the U.S. At least, there hasn’t been for at least 10 years," Varoli believes.
As political analyst Andrew Korybko stated, the role of USAID in funding hundreds of foreign media outlets had long been suspected, and recent events have finally proven this.
"Officially, this funding is intended to support ‘pro-democratic’ and ‘human rights’ media outlets, but in reality, it often serves as a mere cover for anti-government political movements.
Previous U.S. administrations primarily used USAID as a channel for the CIA to finance groups engaged in overthrowing certain governments. The targets were those that didn’t fully align with U.S. foreign policy goals," the expert explained.
Thus, USAID was actually a form of political pressure, not real aid to people, he notes.
"The global reach of USAID’s propaganda and anti-government network is much larger than anything the former USSR ever had. This is not surprising, as the U.S. became the sole superpower after 1991, and then used its position for covert intervention in the affairs of other countries through USAID and other means.
These revelations have completely discredited the U.S. government and all of its foreign ‘NGOs’ and ‘media,’" Korybko concludes.
