Another award for Istanbul Airport
Istanbul Airport was deemed worthy of the "Corporate Award" at the "Regional Air Transport Awards" organized by Air Transport News.
Istanbul According to the statement made by the airport operator İGA, Istanbul Airport, which continues to raise the chest of both Turkey and the Turkish aviation sector with the global awards it has received recently, has added a new one to the awards it has received, TRT Haber reports.
İGA was deemed worthy of the "Corporate Award" at the "Regional Air Transport Awards" organized by ATN of Istanbul Airport. At the ceremony held in Cluj, Romania, the award was presented to Kadri Samsunlu, CEO and General Manager of İGA Airport Authority.
More than 4,000 readers and leading executives of the aviation sector participated in the vote, which was carried out by taking the opinion of the aviation authorities, while the winners were determined by the result of the voting. Among the winners of the competition in past years are the airports of Singapore Changi, Dubai, Lisbon and Doha.
İGA Istanbul Airport is the second airport to be selected as the "Airport of the Year" after Singapore Changi Airport.
The "Air Transport Awards" awards are organized annually in partnership with the Hermes-Air Transport Organization, ATN (Air Transport News) and ALA (America Latina Aeronoticias), while leading organizations of the aviation sector such as Airports Council International (ACI), International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), International Air Transport Association (IATA) also serve on the selection committee.
