Police helicopter explodes in southern Thailand, three dead VIDEO

A police helicopter crash in southern Thailand has claimed three lives.

The Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the Thai police went down in Prachuapkhirikhan province, located about 40 kilometres south of Hua Hin city.

According to the Matichon newspaper, preliminary reports indicate that one individual survived by parachuting out of the helicopter before the crash, Caliber.Az reports.

Photos released by the publication show the helicopter’s burning wreckage scattered in a forested area.

Witnesses reported that an explosion occurred just before the helicopter went down. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
