Iranian police shoot 12-year-old Azerbaijani girl

Iranian police authorities have killed a young girl in Zanjan city during protests.

As the West Azerbaijani GunAzTv reported, 12-year-old Arshiya Sultani was shot by the police when they opened fire and died from her injuries. She was of Azerbaijani ethnicity, as are most residents in the city of Zanjan and northern districts in Iran.

The publication recalls that since the beginning of the wave of protests in Iran in September, a total of 56 children have already been killed by the police.
