Türkiye neutralises key PKK/KCK figure in northern Iraq PHOTO

27 November 2024 13:32

Türkiye’s National Intelligence Organisation has neutralised one of the so-called leaders of the PKK/KCK terrorist organisation in northern Iraq.

The National Intelligence Organisation’s investigations revealed that Sadie Mohammed Ahmed was responsible for the intelligence operations of the PKK/KCK in Sinjar, Caliber.Az reports per Turkish media.

She was neutralised during a targeted operation.

Türkiye's recent operations underscore its steadfast dedication to combating terrorism and bolstering regional security.

These measures are part of a strategic effort aimed at disrupting terrorist activities and maintaining stability in the regions. Turkish authorities use the term "neutralise" to describe situations where terrorists either surrender, are killed, or are captured during such operations.

The PKK, recognised as a terrorist organisation by Türkiye, the US and the EU, has led a 40-year campaign of violence against Türkiye, which has claimed more than 40,000 lives, including those of women and children.
