Iranian airlines halt all flights to UAE as US restrictions take effect

All flights operated by Iranian airlines to the United Arab Emirates have been cancelled, according to information obtained by Iran International.

Iranian carriers operated flights to the UAE from several cities, including Tehran, Kish, Mashhad and Shiraz, but those services have now been suspended.

The cancellations came after US restrictions announced against the overseas operations of Iranian airlines took effect.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent had previously announced that the overseas operations of Iranian airlines would be halted starting September 23.
