Russian leader to attend Supreme State Council meeting in Belarus soon
Aide to the Russian president Yury Ushakov has said that President Putin will visit Minsk, Belarus on December 6 to attend a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State.
Ushakov made these remarks during a briefing, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.
"In December, the president has a rather active foreign policy agenda. On December 6, the Supreme State Council of the Union State will hold a meeting in Minsk. This session is timed to coincide with the 25th anniversary of the agreement on the creation of the Union State, which was signed on December 8, 1995," he said.
State Secretary of the Union State of Russia and Belarus Dmitry Mezentsev mentioned that proposals will be presented at the Supreme State Council regarding the implementation of the provisions of the union treaty, the strategy for a unified scientific and technological sphere of the Union State, and the improvement of transportation infrastructure.
He added that the draft decree of the Supreme State Council for the first time includes issues related to cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
