Two killed after light aircraft crashes in Russia’s Tatarstan PHOTO

Two people were killed after a light aircraft crashed into the garden of a private home in Russia’s Tatarstan region.

The Cessna 172 reportedly struck a mobile telecommunications mast in the village of Shemordan before crashing into the property, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media. 

Preliminary reports indicate that both the pilot and a passenger died in the accident.

Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations is investigating the crash and working to establish its cause. Further details about the circumstances of the incident have not yet been released.
