Media: Ukraine hits automobile plant in Russia’s Taganrog
A fire was reported at the Taganrog Automobile Plant (TAGAZ) following an overnight attack on the Russian city, according to Exilenova+.
The facility is reportedly being used to manufacture unmanned aerial vehicles for the Russian military, making it a potentially significant site within the country’s defence-industrial sector.
Reports said a large fire broke out on the plant’s premises, with a fuel tank among the facilities reportedly affected.
A separate large-scale fire was also reported at Taganrog-Central military airfield, where Russia’s 708th Military Transport Aviation Regiment is based.
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s General Staff reported the destruction of a Russian aircraft, although it remains unclear whether the reported loss was connected to the attack on Taganrog.
