Head of Azerbaijan's delegation to OSCE PA castigates France for militarising Armenia

France's policy is detrimental to the already fragile peace in the South Caucasus, said Azay Guliyev, head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the OSCE PA, in a speech at the PA's winter session in Vienna.

He noted that the French government is pursuing a policy of militarisation of Armenia, promising new deals on arms supplies to Yerevan, Report quotes him as saying.

"Such a policy of France only harms the already fragile peace and security in the region, seriously affects the normalisation process [between Baku and Yerevan] and should therefore be stopped," he said.

Guliyev stressed that the French parliamentarians' allegations against Azerbaijan are groundless and are only a pretext for supporting Armenia's militarisation.
