Erdogan: Azerbaijan-Armenia peace deal represents historic opportunity

A peace deal, to be signed between Azerbaijan and Armenia, will be a historic opportunity.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at a joint press conference with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze in Ankara, emphasized the significance of an upcoming peace deal between Azerbaijan and Armenia, describing it as a historic opportunity, APA says.

Erdogan also highlighted ongoing efforts to fully reopen the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway and noted cooperation between Türkiye and Georgia on other critical infrastructure and energy projects.

"As regional countries, Türkiye and Georgia will continue to collaborate toward promoting peace and stability in the South Caucasus," Erdogan affirmed.
