SOCAR head: Energy transition requires cooperation of all stakeholders
President of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Rovshan Najaf has said that the transition to green energy necessitates the collaboration of all stakeholders.
“Every political decision will influence the direction and pace of this transition. Therefore, it is essential that everything is agreed upon, and all interested parties coordinate their actions to achieve this goal,” he said, Caliber.Az reports citing the local media.
The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) is a state-owned oil and gas company headquartered in Baku, Azerbaijan. Established in 1992, SOCAR is one of the largest and most influential companies in Azerbaijan and plays a critical role in the country’s economy and energy sector.
SOCAR is involved in the exploration, development, and production of oil and natural gas fields in Azerbaijan. The company operates both onshore and offshore fields, including the Caspian Sea.
