25 July 2024 19:41

A regular round of political consultations between the Azerbaijani and Uzbek Foreign Ministries took place today in Tashkent.

The Azerbaijani delegation, led by Deputy Foreign Minister Samir Sharifov, met with the Uzbek delegation headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Bobur Usmanov, as reported by Caliber.Az via the Foreign Ministry.

During the consultations, the two sides discussed various aspects of their bilateral relations, including political, economic, transport, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation. They also exchanged views on collaboration within international and regional organizations.

The meeting highlighted the strong and growing relationship between the two brotherly countries, which share common historical roots, language, religion, and traditions. This upward development trend is attributed to the firm political will and joint efforts of their respective heads of state.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the level of their strategic partnership, which is based on mutual trust and respect. They noted that intensive high-level contacts have significantly contributed to strengthening bilateral relations.

Additionally, the consultations included discussions on the treaty-legal framework and ongoing projects, along with a review of the documents signed between the two countries.
