Armenia, France have no political dignity Kazakh pundits on Caliber.Az
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has tried to show off at the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum in Georgia, making a big presentation called “Crossroads of Peace” and offering his version of restoring routes in the region.
However, the Yerevan project is attractive and pompous only in booklets, but in reality, it is an attempt to delay the opening of the Zangezur corridor, as Caliber.Az has already reported. Moreover, Azerbaijan has already begun construction of a road bypassing Armenia through Iran to Nakhchivan with a way to the border with Türkiye.
What does the crafty Armenian prime minister hint at?
The Kazakh experts expressed their opinions at Caliber.Az.
Kazakh political analyst and civil activist Ruslan Tusupbekov has said that Pashinyan is trying to maintain prestige.
“It is obvious that Armenia and its allies, in particular, France, have no political dignity. They are trying to delay the negotiations. It is easy to sign a peace treaty and finally to put an end to the conflict to establish peace between peoples. However, Pashinyan and his sponsors are still delaying the process. Why does Pashinyan beat the air? The Armenian position at the moment is unconstructive. Yerevan still controls Azerbaijani villages, namely, seven villages in the Gazakh district, one village in Nakhchivan,” the political analyst noted.
“Yerevan should quickly resolve all issues, namely, to return Azerbaijani villages, restore routes and sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan, rather than to rely on France, which wants to receive its dividends due to unresolved situation between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” Tusupbekov added.
Another Kazakh political analyst Ruslan Salikhov also expressed his opinion on this issue.
“Pashinyan is dealing with demagoguery and populism, forgetting that the regional situation is developing rapidly. Azerbaijan has taught Yerevan a big lesson more than once, but Pashinyan has not fully learned it. Azerbaijan returned Karabakh, that is, an important reason that prevented the signing of a peace treaty has been eliminated. However, Yerevan continues dreaming. Although, it is time to determine the role in the region. After all, Armenia may lose its own statehood. The deterioration of relations between Yerevan and Moscow and the total defeat to Azerbaijan make Armenia’s position in the region extremely precarious. Many countries, namely, French-speaking countries, dream of entering the region,” the political analyst added.
“It is quite obvious that resolving all issues with Baku and signing a peace treaty with Azerbaijan create a certain security configuration for Armenia. Azerbaijan, as the leader of the region, acts as the guarantor of the future of this country. Pashinyan should grasp at straws. However, he is dealing with populism and demagoguery,” Salikhov said.
