Armenian, Cypriot defence ministers hold talks in Yerevan
Armenian Defence Minister Suren Papikyan has expressed appreciation for Cyprus’s support in strengthening ties with EU organizations and member states following a meeting with his Cypriot counterpart Vasilis Palmas.
Papikyan stated that, Armenian-Cypriot ties can contribute to Armenia’s integration processes within the framework of the organization, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.
During their discussions, Papikyan highlighted several mutual interests that were addressed.
He emphasized that “such discussions will be continuous and contribute to the security and defence of our peoples.”
Papikyan also extended his gratitude to Palmas for his visit to Armenia and the fruitful, direct discussions they shared.
Papikyan concluded by emphasizing a commitment to strengthening military cooperation, stating, “We will do our utmost to elevate the quality of our military and military-technical collaboration, enabling us to collectively address new security challenges.”
