AZAL partners with Accelya to modernise ticket sales with NDC technology
Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), part of AZCON Holding, has signed a strategic agreement with global airline technology provider Accelya to introduce New Distribution Capability (NDC) through the FLX Select platform.
The move is aimed at modernising AZAL’s retail capabilities and transforming how fares and ancillary services are created, distributed, and sold via indirect channels, including travel agencies and online platforms, Caliber.Az reports, citing AZAL.
FLX Select is expected to accelerate the airline’s time-to-market for fares and additional products, while ensuring consistent and accurate content across all partner channels.
The system will allow AZAL to overcome the limitations of traditional distribution models, making offers more transparent and relevant for passengers, and more convenient for travel partners.
The platform also provides direct connectivity to the global network of travel sellers and aggregators, enabling AZAL to tap into the commercial potential of NDC without complex technical integrations.
FLX Select is part of Accelya’s FLX ONE platform, which runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Through its collaboration with AWS, Accelya delivers scalable, secure cloud solutions that support airlines in modernising their offers and orders. According to research firm T2RL, Accelya handles almost 50% of global NDC transactions.
