Azerbaijan’s prosecutor general presents Russian supreme court chairman with medal PHOTO

Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev has presented Russian Supreme Court Chairman Igor Krasnov with the “For Effective Cooperation with Prosecutor’s Offices” medal during a meeting in Moscow.

The meeting highlighted the important role of the friendly and mutually trusting relations established between the two countries’ heads of state in developing relations, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Prosecutor General's Office.

Officials stressed that relations between the two countries are developing based on the principles of strategic partnership and allied cooperation, with a solid foundation for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in various areas.

The Prosecutor General noted that the relations established over many years between the prosecutor’s offices of the two countries were at a high level, with effective cooperation being carried out in the areas of mutual legal assistance, combating crime, and the exchange of experience and information.

The meeting discussed prospects for further developing relations between Azerbaijan and Russia in the legal sphere, further strengthening institutional cooperation, exchanging experience, as well as opportunities for cooperation in legal education and professional training. In this regard, the sides exchanged views on prospects for expanding ties and promoting joint scientific and practical events, training sessions and the exchange of experience.

Igor Krasnov expressed interest in developing constructive relations and strong, trust-based and long-term cooperation with his Azerbaijani counterparts, expressing confidence that the meeting would contribute to further developing relations between the relevant agencies of the two countries.
