Azerbaijan announces reward for information on animal abuse
"We are announcing a 500 manat ($294,12) reward to everyone who will tell us information about the places of illegal keeping of brown bear cubs and about the persons hunting them, and we also guarantee 100% anonymity."
Unfortunately, these cases, cannot ensure the full protection of this species in the wild properly, Farid Mansurov, a well-known animal rights activist, said to Caliber.Az.
“So, intensive support for civil society is simply a necessity in this context.
According to the information we have, about 20 brown bear cubs were taken from the wild in the spring of this year 2022 by poaching, and the she-bears were brutally killed. Now, these cubs are hidden in various places, and some were sold for food and cages in someone's villas.
We ask everyone who has information about the places where brown bear cubs are kept and people who hunt bears to inform us. We will transfer 500 manats as a reward to anyone who provides us with accurate and detailed information about such a context, and we will maintain 100% anonymity about his person.

Let's stop this barbarism and poaching by joint efforts!” F. Mansurov said.
