Azerbaijan discusses with US development of its green energy sector

Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov has met with Harry Kemian, Senior Advisor for Multilateral Energy Diplomacy at the US Department of State's Bureau of Energy Resources.

"We discussed the development of hydrocarbon and green energy sector of Azerbaijan, financing of energy infrastructure, as well as opportunities for cooperation with American companies in these areas,” Jabbarov wrote on his X account, Caliber.Az reports.

“They also mutually emphasised the importance of our country holding the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) in 2024, the 'Year of Solidarity for a Green World'," the publication reads.
