Baku, Astana discuss prospects of stock market development
Representatives of the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) and Kazakhstan's Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) discussed the prospects of stock market development.
The meeting was attended by BSE Chairman of the Board Ruslan Khalilov and Chief Commercial Administrator Ogtay Gasimov, as well as MFCA Chairman Renat Bekturov and Director General for Innovations Talgat Amanbayev, Caliber.Az reports, citing BSE.
The parties discussed the prospects for the development of the capital markets of the two countries, opportunities for the exchange of experience and information between companies, as well as strengthening cooperation.
Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) was established in 2000 in order to form an organized stock market in the country. The mission of BSE is to establish and develop market infrastructure that will provide the trading of securities and efficient execution of transactions.
Since its establishment, BSE has been the only stock exchange organized in the stock sector of Azerbaijan. Today, Baku Stock Exchange is an exchange with annual turnover of over 14 billion manats ($8.23 billion).
