Azerbaijan implementing initiative to safeguard European energy security Minister says
Azerbaijan's Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov has emphasised that reducing carbon dioxide emissions holds significant importance on Azerbaijan's energy agenda.
“Nearly 75 per cent of Azerbaijan's energy resources were supplied to Europe last year. Azerbaijan remains committed to implementing a crucial initiative aimed at enhancing diversification and ensuring energy security in Europe,” he said, Caliber.Az reports citing the local media.
The minister highlighted that Azerbaijan is actively engaged in the global energy transition.
Shahbazov underscored that Azerbaijan has adopted a new socio-economic strategy, with a key focus on green growth as a priority issue.
