Azerbaijan puts renovated Yalama border post into operation PHOTO

Azerbaijan has commissioned the renovated “Yalama” border post, located within the Khudat Border Detachment, the country’s State Border Service said.

The facility was officially opened following a major renovation. Officials said the upgraded command post is expected to improve the management and coordination of border units, strengthen operational control over the State Border Service’s personnel and resources, and enable a faster response to potential threats, Caliber.Az reports.

Following the opening ceremony, Lieutenant General Javid Abdullayev, Deputy Chief of Azerbaijan’s State Border Service, inspected the facilities at the administrative building of the Yalama Border Command.

The authorities did not provide further details on the cost or scope of the renovation.
