Azerbaijan's academy of sciences to present UAVs, microcomputers at Teknofest Azerbaijan

Six institutes of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) and 5 residents of the High Technology Park of the academy will take part in the Azerbaijan Teknofest Aviation, Cosmonautics and Technology Festival, which will be held in Baku on May 26-29.

According to the information provided by ANAS to Report, as a result of many years of research, institutes and scientific institutions will present competitive, innovative technological products at the event.

Scientific and Technological Park LLC, a resident of the High-Tech Park of ANAS, will introduce domestic unmanned aerial vehicles. The product provided by the resident involves soil analysis and the study of plant growth using special spectral cameras. Thanks to technology, it is possible to control both arable land and areas with vegetation. Technology also helps maintain soil fertility and increase crop yields.

The device, which will be presented by the Institute of Radiation Problems of ANAS, allows for radiation monitoring in conditions of difficult and dangerous mountainous terrain. This device consists of a radiometer mounted on an unmanned aerial vehicle. A complete picture of radiation monitoring in unclean areas and difficult terrain can be obtained by placing radiation detectors on unmanned aerial vehicles.

Within the framework of the festival, the visitors will also have the opportunity to get acquainted with an artificial intelligence-based robot presented by Troniq LLC, a resident of the ANAS High-Tech Park. Designed to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, viruses and microbes, the Seit-uv robot has the ability to disinfect all obstacles along a given route.

Innovative developments presented by the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS will be useful for oil and gas industry workers. Thus, the specialists of the Institute will present to the participants of the festival the technology of production, transportation, and storage of hydrocarbons, which has been tested in many countries of the world. The Institute will also present technologies for cleaning pipelines of various diameters and reliefs, smothering high-gas oil wells, isolating external water, increasing the oil recovery factor due to the CO2 gas-liquid gap created in the reservoir, and intensifying production in oil wells.

The microcomputer, which will be presented by the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS at the festival, is designed to perform the functions of an adaptive control system for unmanned aerial vehicles for various purposes. Along with the presentation of the microcomputer, a virtual demonstration of the UAV will take place within the framework of the exhibition.

Technologies, the author of which is the Institute of Information Technologies of ANAS, are also extremely relevant today. The Institute will demonstrate a software product for analyzing, classifying and predicting the flow of information collected in society using artificial intelligence technologies.

Festival participants will be able to see the scientific achievements of scientists of the Institute of Biophysics of ANAS. The institute will implement artificial intelligence-based technologies that involve the use of human blood plasma in the diagnosis of lung cancer. With this method, one can get results with 90 per cent accuracy.

The resident of the High-Tech Park of ANAS, "Experimental Industrial Plant", will present lubricants of vegetable origin, mineral, industrial, motor, hydraulic and transmission oils at the festival.
