Azerbaijan's Digital Bridge system sees 48% growth in transactions
Deputy Chairman of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Khaligov has said that from January to November 2024, Digital Bridge data exchange system processed over 500 million transactions.
He made these remarks during the first International Caspian Innovation Forum in Baku, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
"This marks a 48 per cent increase compared to the same period last year. More than 150 information systems and over 50 companies are integrated into Digital Bridge, with the system handling 55 million transactions monthly," he said.
"We provide these companies with access to government data systems, enabling them to integrate into the platform and offer digital services," Khaligov added.
On October 12-13, 2023, the Innovation and Digital Development Agency participated in the Digital Bridge technology event in Kazakhstan.
The event, which brought together over 20,000 participants from more than 300 ICT companies and 100 investors, provided a platform for the agency’s representatives to explore partnership and collaboration opportunities with various countries and organisations.
During the event, the delegation took part in the panel session "GOVSTACK: Accelerating Digital Transformation" and engaged in roundtable discussions on "E-Government Trends: UN Review", "Expanding Government Rights and Capacities: Data-Based Management and National Artificial Intelligence".
These sessions focused on key trends and best practices in e-government, emphasising the importance of data-driven and AI-supported systems for user engagement and service evaluation. The agency’s team also visited booths representing sectors such as GovTech, SaaS, FinTech, Creative Economics, AI, and e-Trade, where they exchanged experience and explored potential cooperation opportunities with international participants.
