Azerbaijan's Energy Minister, US Assistant Secretary of State mull Baku's climate priorities
The United States supports Baku's COP29 climate priorities, US Assistant Secretary of State for Energy Resources Geoffrey Pyatt said in a post on the social network X.
"Timely meeting with Azerbaijani Minister Parviz Shahbazov about supporting Baku’s COP29 climate priorities, methane reduction, and diversifying Caspian energy routes and supplies," the post reads, according to Caliber.Az.

This year, Azerbaijan will be the host country for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. The decision was made at the COP28 plenary in Dubai on December 11. During the two weeks of the event, Baku will host some 70,000-80,000 foreign guests.
