Azerbaijan's position on normalisation with Armenia consistent, systematic - FM
Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has said that Azerbaijan's position on the normalisation of relations with Armenia is consistent and systematic.
He made the remarks at a press conference following a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Moscow on December 5, according to Report.
"When we talk about additional initiatives and proposals, we are naturally very grateful to all interested, objective international actors who want to make a positive contribution to this process. And, of course, we are ready to discuss this taking into account the fundamental norms and principles of international law. Probably, all the participants, all those who are directly or indirectly related to this process, can confirm that the position of the Azerbaijani side is very consistent and systematic," he said.
The minister added that Azerbaijan is grateful to all interested, objective international actors who want to make a positive contribution to the process of normalisation of relations between Baku and Yerevan.
"It seems to me that it is easy to build and voice a position when it is based, firstly, on historical justice, and secondly, on international law. And we will continue to adhere to this," Bayramov added.
