Israel's deputy envoy ends mission in Baku, leaves with "endless gratitude"
Israel’s Deputy Ambassador to Baku, Yoav Bistritsky, has announced the conclusion of his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan.
According to Caliber.Az, Bistritsky shared the news on his page on social network X, reflecting on his two years in the country.
"Two years. It’s been an amazing journey. With so many experiences and friendships. A piece of me will always belong to Azerbaijan," he wrote.
In his post, Bistritsky also extended his appreciation to former Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan George Dick, as well as to the embassy’s staff.
"Endless gratitude to all those who participated in writing this chapter of my life," he added.
Bistritsky confirmed that he has received a new appointment, though he did not reveal details regarding his future diplomatic role.
His departure comes shortly after the arrival of Israel’s new ambassador to Azerbaijan.
On August 1, 2025, Ronen Krausz presented copies of his credentials to Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, formally beginning his tenure in Baku.
