Azerbaijan, Spain to launch space cooperation

Azerbaijani satellite operator Azercosmos, and the Spanish high-tech company “GTD Ingenieria de Sistemas” have signed a Protocol of Intentions on space cooperation.

Within the protocol, which was signed on June 2, the parties will carry out joint activities on analytics and solutions in the space sector, in the development of satellite systems, and in the exchange of expertise through educational programs, Trend reports, citing Azercosmos Company’s statement.

The document also provides support for research and development activities in the space industry in Azerbaijan, ensuring the transfer of technologies for engineering solutions on satellite systems.

“The document emphasizes the importance of applying the latest information technologies in the field of remote sensing and geospatial data management, which is currently one of the priorities of the space industry,” the statement reads.
