Azerbaijan, Türkiye strengthen cooperation in human rights field
Azerbaijan's Ombudsperson Sabina Aliyeva has met with Chief Ombudsman of Türkiye Şeref Malkoç, who is on a visit to the country to attend the 6th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue.
The meeting, which involved a group of students interning at the Ombudsman's Office, underscored the commitment of both nations to collaborate on various fronts, particularly in safeguarding human rights and freedoms, Report informs.
Aliyeva emphasized the longstanding and robust partnership between Azerbaijan and Türkiye across diverse domains, emphasizing the significance of joint efforts in upholding human rights standards. She also highlighted the collaborative initiatives undertaken by the Ombudsmen's Offices of both countries, indicating a shared commitment to promoting and protecting human rights.
In his remarks, Chief Ombudsman Şeref Malkoç praised the internship program for students at the Ombudsman's Office, stressing its potential to significantly enhance their future endeavors. Malkoç expressed optimism about the positive impact of such practical experiences on the students' understanding and application of human rights principles.
