Azerbaijan, UN review reconstruction and urban development plans photo

Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture Anar Guliyev held a meeting with the newly appointed United Nations Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan, Igor Garafulic.

According to the committee’s press service, cited by Caliber.Az, Guliyev informed the UN representative about the progress achieved in post-conflict restoration and reconstruction efforts being implemented in accordance with Azerbaijan’s national priorities and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

During the meeting, the chairman also presented detailed information on the decision to declare 2026 the “Year of Urban Planning and Architecture” in Azerbaijan, as well as ongoing preparations for the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), scheduled to be held in Baku in May this year.
