Azerbaijan winds down COP29 Operating Company

The Azerbaijan COP29 Operating Company has been liquidated by an order of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources dated December 30, 2025.

A Liquidation Commission has been established in this regard, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

Claims related to the company’s creditor liabilities must be submitted to the commission within two months. Applications filed after this deadline will not be considered.

The COP29 Operating Company was a state-established entity in Azerbaijan responsible for organising and managing COP29, the 29th session of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of the Parties, which was hosted by Azerbaijan.
