Azerbaijani defence minister set to join Belarus military parade
Azerbaijani Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov departed for Belarus on a visit.
During his trip, Hasanov is set to take part in a military parade in Minsk commemorating the 80th anniversary of Belarus' liberation from Nazi invaders and celebrating Independence Day, Caliber.Az reports citing the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.
Hasanov will additionally participate in a session of the Council of Defence Ministers of the CIS during his stay in Belarus, which will extend until July 3.
Belarus and Azerbaijan maintain diplomatic relations that have evolved and deepened since the establishment of diplomatic ties on January 22, 1993. Both countries are members of international organisations such as the United Nations, the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), which foster bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
