Azerbaijan, Slovakia move to ratify classified information protection deal
Azerbaijan and Slovakia are set to strengthen cooperation on the handling and protection of classified information under an agreement signed between the two governments.
A draft law on the ratification of the agreement has been placed on the agenda of a meeting of the Azerbaijani parliament’s Committee on International Relations and Interparliamentary Ties, scheduled for September 14, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The proposed legislation would ratify the “Agreement between the Government of Azerbaijan and the Government of Slovakia on the Exchange and Mutual Protection of Classified Information.”
Following discussions at the committee meeting, the draft law is expected to be recommended for consideration by the Milli Majlis, Azerbaijan’s parliament, in a plenary session.
