Azerbaijan stands with US as 9/11 attacks mark 25 years
The Embassy of Azerbaijan in the United States has expressed condolences to the American people on the 25th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to the United States Khazar Ibrahim shared a commemorative message on X, Caliber.Az reports.

On September 11, 2001, 19 al-Qaeda hijackers seized four US passenger aircraft. Two planes struck New York’s World Trade Center, one hit the Pentagon, and a fourth crashed in Pennsylvania after passengers attempted to retake control. Nearly 3,000 people were killed.
September 11, 2026 marks the 25th anniversary of the attacks. Ceremonies are being held in New York, at the Pentagon and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, with victims’ names being read and moments of silence observed.
