Azerbaijani Muslim cleric thanks US foundation for demining support PHOTO

Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO), has expressed gratitude to the Stirling Foundation for its material and moral support in demining the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation.

Speaking at the World Congress of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the United States, Pashazade said Azerbaijan stands out as one of the few places in the world where there has been no history of conflict between followers of different religions and denominations. He underlined that all religious communities in Azerbaijan enjoy equal rights and receive attention and support from the state. Pashazade added that a happy future for humanity can only be achieved through peace and coexistence.

The Sheikh-ul-Islam also highlighted the high level of cooperation between the Caucasus Muslim Board and partners in Utah, including the Stirling Foundation and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, saying that expanding and deepening these relations through joint initiatives and projects remains their common goal.
