Azerbaijani president receives Chairman of OTS Council of Elders in Gabala PHOTO

On October 6, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with Binali Yıldırım, Chairman of the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), the official presidential website reported.

The meeting took place in Gabala, ahead of the upcoming OTS summit, Caliber.Az reports via the Azerbaijani president's website.

During the meeting, the Azerbaijani president recalled with satisfaction his previous meetings with Binali Yıldırım, as well as Yıldırım’s visits to the country.

The guest expressed his gratitude to President Aliyev for his support of the OTS and emphasised that the OTS Council of Elders will continue contributing to the development of cooperation among Turkic states.

The discussion also touched upon the significance of the 12th Summit of the Heads of State Council of the Organization of Turkic States, with confidence expressed that, like other international events held in Azerbaijan, this summit will be conducted at a high level.

The parties also noted the expansion of brotherly and strategic alliance relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye across all areas.

For the record, the OTS summit will be held on October 6–7 in Gabala, Azerbaijan, under the theme “Regional Peace and Security”.

The Summit will convene the esteemed Heads of State and Government of the OTS Member States and Observers together with their delegations, to discuss pressing regional and international issues, enhance cooperation, and adopt key documents aimed at further advancing unity, peace, and prosperity across the Turkic World.
