Azerbaijani president responds to Trump’s Truth Social post, hails his peace efforts

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has publicly responded to U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent message on the social network Truth Social.

In a post on his X account, President Aliyev expressed gratitude to Trump for his “kind words” and praised his contributions to the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, according to Caliber.Az.

Aliyev highlighted Trump’s role in hosting the historic Washington Summit and described him as “the architect of the eternal friendship and the emerging strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and the United States.”

“I greatly value our friendship,” Aliyev concluded in his message, underlining the growing diplomatic and strategic ties between Baku and Washington.
