Azerbaijani president visits Centre for Islamic Civilisation in Tashkent PHOTO

On November 15, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, visited the Centre for Islamic Civilisation in Tashkent.

According to Caliber.Az, the information was posted on the official website of the head of state.

The foundation of the Centre, established by a decree of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, was laid in 2018. The project involved the participation of hundreds of scholars, experts, and religious and public figures.

Designed in the style of Samarkand’s historic architectural monuments, the Centre occupies an area of more than 10 hectares and aims to serve as a hub for the study and promotion of Islamic culture and heritage.
