Azerbaijani, Turkish, Georgian FMs reaffirm mutual support for territorial integrity
The 10th trilateral meeting of the Azerbaijani, Turkish and Georgian foreign ministers will be held in Türkiye in 2025.
Specific dates for the meeting will be agreed upon by the sides, Caliber.Az reports citing the Baku Declaration, adopted following the ninth trilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of the three countries.
According to the declaration, the sides reaffirmed their unequivocal mutual support for sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of borders; welcomed the full restoration of Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and the country’s efforts to restore territories in the post-conflict period; expressed support for the normalisation of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia on the basis of mutual recognition and respect for each other’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of borders; expressed confidence that the rapid establishment of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia will make an important contribution to regional stability and security, and will open the way to the full realisation of the potential of cooperation in the region.
Moreover, the importance of ending hostilities in Gaza, providing Gaza with humanitarian aid, and establishing lasting peace in the Middle East; the importance of restoring Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty within its internationally recognised borders was emphasised in the document.
A determination was expressed to strengthen cooperation in the fight against all forms of terrorism, in the fight against transnational organised crime, illicit trafficking in weapons, drugs and precursors, in the fight against human trafficking, money laundering, crimes against cultural and historical heritage, and cybercrime.
