Baku always supports Islamabad on issue of Jammu, Kashmir President Aliyev tells Pakistani general
Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev received Chief of Staff of Pakıstan’s Armed Forces Asim Munir on November 1.
During the meeting, President Aliyev noted that friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan are successfully developing in various directions, including in the military sphere, Caliber.Az reports, citing the president’s official website.
The president hailed the constant support provided by the Pakistani government and people to Azerbaijan during the period of Armenian aggression.
According to the head of state, the fact that Pakistan does not have diplomatic relations with Armenia because of its aggressive policy demonstrates the fraternal attitude of the country towards Azerbaijan.
The president also expressed gratitude to Pakistan for the political support of Azerbaijan during the Second Karabakh War in 2020.
Speaking about the successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan in the field of military industry, President Aliyev touched upon the importance of holding joint military exercises.
Touching upon the issue of sovereignty and territorial integrity of our countries, the head of state once again stated that Azerbaijan always supports fraternal Pakistan on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir.
The president is convinced that Munir's visit will serve to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
For his part, Munir congratulated President Aliyev on Azerbaijan's victory in the Second Karabakh War and successful anti-terrorist activities in September this year, noting that these events were greeted with great joy in Pakistan.
The Pakistani Army’s chief of staff once again stressed that Pakistan still does not recognize Armenia, demonstrating fraternal ties with the Azerbaijani people.
Munir expressed gratitude for Azerbaijan's support to Pakistan on the issue of Jammu and Kashmir.
